100% of Massage is covered by auto injury insurance: This is the law in Oregon. This also includes bicycling and pedestrian accidents on roadways. In Oregon your auto insurance will cover your massage therapy in full up to one year even if the accident was your fault. This coverage allows you to be treated for your auto injury with a simple referral from your medical doctor, chiropractor, naturopath or acupuncturist.
Ten years ago I had a patient badly injured in a car accident. This experience had a great affect on how I worked with a high-impact auto injury. I decided to become specialized in the field of motor vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian accidents.
You can benefit greatly by receiving massage therapy during your recovery from an auto injury. A recent study by insurance companies showed that patients who received massage were 85% more likely to fully recover from their auto injury including whiplash, neck and back injuries, tendon damage, muscle spasms, myofascial pain, headaches, migraines, and insomnia (pain can interrupt sleep). Please do not delay your treatment. I have often worked with patients months after their accident for various reasons and am happy to work with you even if you have delayed.
An Auto Injury Insurance How-To:
I will make it easy for you – just follow these simple steps:
- Contact me so that I can listen to your situation. Then I can guide you to what your needs truly are. If needed, I will hold an appointment for you on an emergency basis. I have worked with many primary care doctors; if you have any questions or need me to speak with them I am happy to do so. I will get you the care you need as soon as possible. If you require a referral, I have several options.
- Ask your doctor for a prescription for massage treatments, as this will aid in the healing process and reduce discomfort and pain as soon as possible. Most doctors are happy to write you a prescription for massage therapy. Many first prescriptions are for 1-2 massages per week for 6-8 weeks. They can send me a prescription or give it to you directly.
- Simply bring your massage prescription along with the following info:
